Clay Jenkinson Headlines Friends of Browns Canyon Fundraiser
Famed Humanities Scholar Best known for Popular “The Thomas Jefferson Hour” on Public Radio, Portrayals of other Historical Characters in Chautauqua Settings

Chaffee County, CO (12 September 2016) — Famed humanities scholar, author, and educator Clay Jenkinson headlines Friends of Browns Canyon’s fundraiser at the Salida High School Auditorium on Friday, October 14th, 2016 at 7p. Doors will open at 6p and the show will begin at 7p.
Mr. Jenkinson is currently director of The Dakota Institute where he co-hosts public radio’s popular “The Thomas Jefferson Hour” and creates documentary film, literary, and symposium projects.
He will portray our 26th president, Theodore Roosevelt, and lecture on his conservation and public lands legacies in the centennial year of the National Park Service. President Roosevelt is expected to weave comments about Browns Canyon National Monument into his lecture and responses.
Mr. Jenkinson is a native of North Dakota, a graduate of the University of Minnesota, and a Rhodes Scholar. He appeared as Thomas Jefferson several years ago in Salida, loves Chaffee County, and has frequently mentioned Chaffee County on the air.
Interest in this appearance is already very high and seating is limited, so advance tickets are encouraged. Tickets are $30 each and will be available September 15th at the Salida Chamber of Commerce and Salida Mountain Sports in Salida, and the Buena Vista Chamber of Commerce and The Trailhead in Buena Vista.
